This Friday night October 27,  the Main Street Halloween Extravaganza on the Courthouse Lawn starts at 5.

The Halloween Costume Contest is for kids of all ages. The Peoples Bank, who are sponsoring the event are providing the following prizes. First place gets a Halloween trophy and a bag of candy and 2-3 get ribbons and a bag of candy. Their table will have candy and some of the Uncle Remus Stories character masks the children can wear if you want to take pictures. It is a great photo opportunity!

Also at 5 the Eatonton Library Booth, is where children will be able to make Harry Potter glasses and Harry Potter ties. Both will be made out of paper. The library will also be bringing your favorite books.

Starting at 5.30, in conjunction with Phantom Face Paints, A Day at Hogwarts Class and mini camp including the Sorting Hat, Potions, Herbology, Wand Making, Owl Balloons, Fortune Telling, Photos and Rock Painting. This class costs $10 and entry is now closed.

Also starting at 5.30, The Georgia College Science Education Center will be here carving pumpkins chemistry style. Some of their other Halloween themed activities include:
Spooky Water (water with luminol that glows in the dark)
Pyro Show with dancing gummy bears and the Green Fire
Jack-o-lantern.

Scoops of Madison will be bringing their Ice Cream Truck and the Lions Club will be selling Hot Dogs.

At 122 W. Marion St. across from the Courthouse, Southern Unique our newest merchant will be having their ribbon cutting at 6.

The Halloween Movie Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will begin at dark.
